Why we celebrate on the 10th In Mexico, Mother's Day doesn't move. It isn't the second Sunday of anything — it's the 10th of May, every year, no matter what day of the week it falls on. It's serenades at sunrise, mariachis at the door, and the smell of mole or barbacoa working its way through the whole house by noon. It's the one day a year where the woman who fed everyone gets fed first. We take that personally.

What's on the table for Mami
Mami's was born from a longing — to bring back those kitchens where time slowed down and flavor said it all. So this 10 de Mayo, we are not throwing a "promotion." We are setting a table — and we are letting Mami name her own price.

Her age is her discount.
If she's 45, that's 45% off her meal. If she's 60, that's 60% off. If she's 80 — well, lucky her, and lucky you for still having her at the table.
The older she is, the more we owe her. It's that simple.

Valid for one mom per table — the guest of honor.
Applies to her food. Drinks and the rest of the table at regular menu prices.

Most of us remember a kitchen. Not a recipe — a kitchen. The corner where she stood. The towel over her shoulder. The way she'd taste something off a wooden spoon and decide, with no measurement at all, that it was ready.
That is the woman we cook for at Mami's. Not just our own — yours, too. The aunt who raised you. The grandmother who held the family together.
